#CaliforniansForAll College Corps
In partnership with #CaliforniansForAll College Corps, Riverside City College will provide 50 students local service opportunities in community organizations such as food banks, climate action organizations, and K-12 education.
Eligible students can earn up to $7,000 in a living allowance stipend and up to $3,000 education award in exchange for completing 450 hours of service over the course of the academic year.
The application period for College Corps 2024-2025 is now open. Apply before April 15th for priority application review.
Program Overview
Goals:
- Engage students in meaningful service opportunities that build career pathways, leadership skills and civic responsibility.
- Help students from diverse backgrounds graduate college on time and with less debt. AB-540 students are encouraged to apply.
- Support the work of community-based organizations focused on K-12 education, food insecurity and climate action.

Service Areas:
College Corps fellows at Riverside City College offer service positions in local nonprofits and organizations within a reasonable distance from campus. Assignments will be selected based on student interest and the final list of participating organizations.

- Feeding America Riverside | San Bernardino
- Catholic Charities
- Raincross Boxing Academy
- Gateway College and Career Academy
- RCC Basic Needs Resource Center
- RCC Upward Bound program
Eligibility:
- Be at least 18 years old;
- Be enrolled full-time, or 12 or more units, each semester at Riverside City College for a full academic year (August – June)
- Maintain good academic standing
- Current U.S. citizen, U.S. National or lawful permanent resident alien of the United States (copy of U.S birth certificate, passport, or Legal Permanent Resident Card), or AB 540 Dreamer
- Submit FAFSA or California Dream Act Application for 2024 - 25 by June 1, 2024
- Students selected to join the Fellowship must meet at least one of the following criteria:
- Students must meet one (1) of the following:
- Qualify for a Federal Pell Grant.
- Qualify for a Cal Grant.
- Qualify for a California College Promise Grant.
- Student needs to work part-time and/or borrow student loans.
- Is an AB 540-eligible Dreamer student
- Complete all background checks upon hire. (Not required for AB 540 Dreamer students)
Commitment:
- Commit to a total of 450 service hours during the 2024 - 25 academic year (August – June) for approximately 12-15 hours per week.
- Service hours will be completed within local K-12 schools, food banks/pantries, or climate action organizations. Placement sites will be organized and assigned by the program based on students’ interests.
- Actively participate in trainings, team meetings, and weekly seminars
- Engage in service initiatives and regional events as assigned
- Participate in program orientation (early August 2024)
Compensation:
- $7,000 Living Stipend (provided in monthly installments)
- $3,000 Education Award (upon completion of the program)
How to Apply
Submit your application for priority review by April 15. The final application Deadline is May 1, 2024 at 11:59 pm. Select candidates will be notified via email communication about next steps in the selection process, including submitting a video interview.
